Learning IELTS in the Philippines, students will:

IELTS Program in the Philippines is divided into 2 main types:
1. Academic English Foundation
Prepare for IELTS Guarantee, generally called IELTS Foundation, IELTS Intensive or Pre-IELTS. Suitable for learners with English proficiency scores lesser than IELTS 4.0.
2. IELTS Guaranteed
A popular program because students get to take IELTS exam by IDP or British Council (depends on the institution) at the end of the program with guarantee from the institution. However, for this program students must have IELTS or the institution’s English proficiency score as required to apply.

for IELTS Programs in the Philippines
1. EV Academy [Cebu]
EV Academy teaches full Sparta. Students cannot go out of school between Monday to Thursday because they have to study and review the lessons intensively (8:00 – 20:00 hrs.). After moving into the new campus in October 2018, the institute offers additional Semi Sparta course which is intensive classes but students do not have to stay at school in the evening, and are allowed to leave after school. Most importantly, the institute offers IELTS Guarantee which guarantees the exam results.

- Pre-IELTS Intensive : suitable for students whose basic English skills are still not strong enough. Students will learn half general, half academic English : 4 private lessons and 4 group classes per day.
- IELTS Intensive : suitable for students with certain level of English and want to learn to take IELTS General for normal usage *not for education abroad or International Programs : 4 private lessons and 4 group classes per day.
- IELTS Guarantee : suitable for students who want to take IELTS exam and use the score or study English to study abroad. In this program, students must have IELTS score or result of English proficiency test from the institution that is equivalent to IELTS 4.0 and must apply for 12 weeks : 4 private lessons and 4 group classes per day
IELTS Guarantee Conditions
- Students must submit official IELTS scores or take the institution’s IELTS test and meet the criteria before the beginning of the course. If the IELTS test does not meet the requirements, students will study IELTS Intensive and the cost difference will be refunded.
- Students must attend 97% of the program (includes attendance for vocabulary test mock test, self-study) although the institution can reduce this requirement if students must be absent due to illnesses that is approved by a doctor, but students must be present at least 95%.
- Students must complete 100% of homework assigned by IELTS teacher.
- Each week, students’ grades must exceed 80%. For Friday’s vocabulary test, if students fail to meet the criteria for more than 3 times, score guarantee will be cancelled.
- Students must receive higher mock test results than the previous week. If students fail to meet the criteria more than 3 times, score guarantee will be cancelled.
- Students must register for IELTS exam after the 10th week. They must pay for the application fee by themselves.
- Students who have broken school rules and have been deducted more than 10 points will not be receiving test results.

2. SMEAG Classic Campus [Cebu]
SMEAG has an IELTS examination center and an IELTS Resource Center (IRC) that are officially certified by the British Council. IELTS is an English test that have been internationally accepted. - Students who have been warned by the academic department for at least 3 times are not allowed to take the official exam.
- The official exam must be done 10 weeks after the beginning of the program.
- All students must enroll for Sparta in the first 4 weeks and attend 100% of IELTS Mock Test each week.

1) IELTS Intensive :
This program is designed for students who have scores equivalent to CEFR A2, and students who want study or work in English-speaking countries. Other information :
- If students submitted their previous score as General IELTS, the institution will guarantee General IELTS. If students submitted their previous score as Academic IELTS, the institution will guarantee Academic IELTS.
- The official examination will be held after the program have begun for 10 weeks at Baguio examination center. If the result is not satisfying, students can reapply without additional costs (except other expenses such as accommodation, food, visa extension fees) until they receive the score they hoped for.
- The institution will pay for IELTS examination fees.
- The guarantee will be canceled if students have been punished due to the policy of the institution, or have lower than 95% of attendance.
6. Monol [Baguio]
Regular IELTS : suitable for learners who plan to study or work abroad, and want to improve their IELTS score of British Council or IDP Australia IELTS. This program helps learners with their foundation from understanding the system of IELTS to useful techniques.

Recommended for : learners who have scored at least 4.0 in Monol’s IELTS or learners who have completed Intermediate level of Regular Speaking ESL or Intensive Speaking ESL. This program must be registered for a minimum of 4 weeks.
*Students who attend normal semester will study 8 hours per day (3 hours of 1:1 class + 5 hours of 1:5 class) / students who attend between the semester will have an additional 5-hour private class

IELTS Guarantee Score Program :
From March 2018, Monol will increase IELTS guaranteed score to 7.0 for students who have 6.5.
